Bulbophyllum medusae: is a unique and highly collectible orchid species known for its dramatic, Medusa-like blooms. When in flower, it produces clusters of fascinating white blooms with long, flowing, thread-like segments that give the appearance of a soft, feathery waterfall. This is a true conversation-piece orchid and a standout addition for collectors who enjoy unusual and exotic species. This orchid has a creeping growth habit and is well suited for baskets, mounts, or pots with a moisture-retentive but airy mix. Like many Bulbophyllums, it appreciates consistent moisture, good humidity, and strong air movement.General Care Bulbophyllum medusae prefers bright, indirect light, warm to intermediate temperatures, and should not be allowed to dry out completely for long periods. Grow in a well-draining orchid mix, sphagnum, basket, or mounted setup depending on your growing conditions. Higher humidity and good airflow will help the plant thrive.Bloom Information Blooms are typically white to creamy white with long, trailing floral segments. Flowers may have a musky or unusual fragrance, which is common with many Bulbophyllum species.Listing Note You will receive a healthy orchid plant similar to the one shown or described, unless otherwise stated. Bloom photos are for reference only and are used to show the potential flowers of this species. Plants are not guaranteed to be in spike or bloom unless specifically noted in the listing title or description.Shipping Your plant will be carefully packed to help protect it during transit. Please choose the shipping method that best fits your weather and location conditions. As with all live plants, minor cosmetic leaf marks, shipping stress, or slight media disturbance can occur during transit. Shipping Disclaimer & Customer Responsibility To provide customers with more reliable shipping options, UPS has been added as an available shipping method and will be the primary carrier used for most orders going forward. Multiple shipping options may be available at checkout, so please carefully select the shipping method that best fits your needs. Due to increasing USPS delays and delivery issues, especially during colder months, I strongly recommend choosing the fastest and most reliable shipping option available for your location. Once a package has been accepted by the carrier, delivery times, delays, missing packages, and carrier handling are outside of my control. I cannot be responsible for late, delayed, lost, or missing packages caused by the shipping carrier. If you strongly prefer USPS, please select the USPS shipping option at checkout and send me a message letting me know that you prefer USPS over UPS. Heat Pack Notice If purchasing a heat pack, please do not purchase it separately. Heat packs should be added to the same order as your plant. A heat pack does add additional weight to the package. I do not charge a separate package fee for the heat pack, but please consider the added weight when selecting your shipping option. Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Island Destinations For orders shipping to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, or other island locations, please do not choose Ground shipping. Ground shipping can take extended time to reach these areas, which increases the risk of plant stress or damage during transit. I cannot be responsible for upgrading shipping after checkout or for plant damage caused by delayed transit due to the shipping method selected by the buyer. Flower Spikes and Blooms I take great care in packing plants securely for transit. However, I cannot guarantee flower spikes, buds, or blooms once the plant leaves my care. Shipping carriers may mishandle, delay, tilt, crush, or expose packages to conditions that can damage delicate spikes or blooms. I typically avoid selling plants in spike or bloom, but I know how exciting it can be to receive a plant with flowers, so I do offer them when available. Please understand that spikes, buds, and blooms are not guaranteed during shipping. Thank you for your continued support. My goal is to provide healthy, quality plants while also giving customers the best shipping options available to help them arrive safely.
