Vanda / Ascofinetia Cherry Blossom ‘Carmela’ These plants are in 3" terracotta pots
Vanda Cherry Blossom ‘Carmela’, formerly known as Ascofinetia Cherry Blossom ‘Carmela’, is a compact vandaceous orchid known for its beautiful displays of small pink blooms. This variety is a cross of Neofinetia falcata and Ascocentrum ampullaceum, giving it a compact growth habit with the potential for impressive flower production on mature plants.
This is a wonderful choice for growers who enjoy miniature or compact Vanda-type orchids but may not have room for larger-growing vandaceous plants. Flowers are typically bright pink to cherry-blossom pink and can be produced in clusters, creating a very attractive display when in bloom. Carmela Orchids describes this variety as producing many 1–2 inch pink flowers on a compact vandaceous plant.
General Care:
Grow in bright, filtered light with good air movement. Allow the roots/media to approach dryness between waterings, but do not let the plant stay dry for extended periods, especially during active growth. This orchid can be grown in a small pot, basket, or mounted depending on your growing conditions. Moderate light and moderate temperatures are generally suitable for this variety.
A beautiful compact Vanda-type orchid with charming pink blooms, perfect for collectors who enjoy floriferous miniature vandaceous orchids.
Shipping Disclaimer & Customer Responsibility
To provide customers with more reliable shipping options, UPS has been added as an available shipping method and will be the primary carrier used for most orders going forward. Multiple shipping options may be available at checkout, so please carefully select the shipping method that best fits your needs.
Due to increasing USPS delays and delivery issues, especially during colder months, I strongly recommend choosing the fastest and most reliable shipping option available for your location. Once a package has been accepted by the carrier, delivery times, delays, missing packages, and carrier handling are outside of my control. I cannot be responsible for late, delayed, lost, or missing packages caused by the shipping carrier.
If you strongly prefer USPS, please select the USPS shipping option at checkout and send me a message letting me know that you prefer USPS over UPS.
Heat Pack Notice
If purchasing a heat pack, please do not purchase it separately. Heat packs should be added to the same order as your plant. A heat pack does add additional weight to the package. I do not charge a separate package fee for the heat pack, but please consider the added weight when selecting your shipping option.
Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Island Destinations
For orders shipping to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, or other island locations, please do not choose Ground shipping. Ground shipping can take extended time to reach these areas, which increases the risk of plant stress or damage during transit. I cannot be responsible for upgrading shipping after checkout or for plant damage caused by delayed transit due to the shipping method selected by the buyer.
Flower Spikes and Blooms
I take great care in packing plants securely for transit. However, I cannot guarantee flower spikes, buds, or blooms once the plant leaves my care. Shipping carriers may mishandle, delay, tilt, crush, or expose packages to conditions that can damage delicate spikes or blooms.
I typically avoid selling plants in spike or bloom, but I know how exciting it can be to receive a plant with flowers, so I do offer them when available. Please understand that spikes, buds, and blooms are not guaranteed during shipping.
Thank you for your continued support. My goal is to provide healthy, quality plants while also giving customers the best shipping options available to help them arrive safely.
